Muhammad is one of my closet friends, my mentor, my confidant, my motivator, he was an angel here and now his spirit has elevated to become a true angel. Thank you Jennifer and family for sharing him with us. His physical presence will be missed tremendously, however, it is with certainty I can say he has his wings and his spirit will be felt everywhere.

I cried like a baby when I woke up Friday morning to this horrible news. I had just spoke with Muhammad earlier in the week by phone. He scheduled me to be interviewed on his radio show this coming Monday, October 15th, reminding me not to be late (smile). He also asked me to speak at his Oct. 18th mixer that evening, which of course I graciously accepted. His last words to me were, "Gerry, you know I'll always have your back." I know you always will my dear friend, even up in heaven. Goodbye, goodbye. Your work has not been in vain. You will be sadly missed.

To the Family, friends and staff of RBD,
Words alone cannot express the deep sadness that all of us share in the passing of our brother Muhammad Nassardeen. However, let us not forget all that he taught and shared with us during the times we spent with him. I believe the best way we can give tribute and honor to Muhammad is to let his spirit of sincere love for the black business community and the community at large forever live within us. Let us all continue to carry the torch.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of my brother Muhammad. He was a true soldier, man of cause, and leader in the Los Angeles community. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and pray that their hearts will be softened knowing that GOD called him home to do even greater things in the kingdom. My life was enriched in having known him for a brief period of time . . . 6 short years. However, I knew from the moment I met him that he was dedicated, sincere, and committed to the cause of uplifting the Black community to self sufficiency and self determination. I will miss him sorely.

Muhammad Nassardeen was more than an innovator, pioneer and tireless champion of black business and economic development. Muhammad was more than a relentless and passionate advocate for racial parity and justice. Muhammad Nassardeen was more than a premier black
thinker and planner. He was all these things as well as a caring, loving father and husband. But Muhammad Nasserdeen was something else. He was my friend and supporter and I will always cherish that friendship, support and memory. Muhammad's spirit, contributions and rich and profound legacy will never die. To the Family of Muhammad:
My prayers and sympathy are with you. You are suffering a great loss in your family. The community is also. May you be comforted by the fact that Muhammad left an indelible mark on our society. He leaves a great legacy. He fought a good fight. His time on earth was well spent serving humanity. He shall never be forgotten.
I was blessed to be honored by him and the RBD Board. I was given a painting which hangs in my hallway. He will forever be in my heart and memory as a loving brother. Always a kind and encouraging word. No envy or jealousy. He would remind me to come to his radio talk show to announce my Father's Day event, Honoring Unsung Fathers. So supportive.
God has called another soldier from labor to reward. His crown is large.
I pray that we will continue to live our lives in such a manner to see Muhammad again.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear friend and colleague Muhammad Nassardeen. Muhammad was a visionary, a leader, a friend and a loving, caring person. Always ready with a smile and hearty words of encouragement, he believed in the collective greatness of Blacks and our ability to create economic empowerment within our communities. Despite criticism and set backs, Muhammad persisted in creating a model for economic empowerment that is unparalleled in our community. He will be missed as a friend and he will be sorely
missed as a revolutionary leader and thinker. Our love and prayers go out to Muhammad's family. We will truly, truly miss him.

Muhammad, a faithful member of the Board of Director of AGAPE Foundation Against Domestic Violence, has always believed in me and the work that God has for me to help women and children who are victims of domestic violence. He was the true meaning who shows the example and duties of board member.
I could not have asked for a true and, for real man of God, like my board member Muhammad Nassardeen. I will always miss you, and will remember the last time I say him on Monday Oct. 8, on the Positive side. When he said to his radio listeners to meet him and Kitty at Shakey's Pizza on the Thursday October 25.
Till we meet again in the morning. My prayers are with the family for strength as they go through the hurt of losing their loved one. God Bless,

Love comes in many ways, displays itself in many forms – emotional, physical, mental…but the ultimate is spiritual. Most people, only love through one or two of these facets. It’s when you truly know yourself that you can love “spiritually”.

Wow! The RBDMan was not only my friend but a friend to man! There was never, ever a time that I called Muhammad for answers to questions or suggestions for solutions, that I did not get received with kindness, patience and insight. Never felt like I was intruding upon his time and space. I thank God that this man walked among us. A man whose heart and passion was steeped in seeing, first and foremost, his race of people rise to high levels of economic stability by supporting our own businesses.
Truly a gap has been left that will take all of us to fill. Godspeed Muhammad!

RBDMAN - KING MUHAMMAD NASSERDEEN
He was a mentor to me and a father to my son. He put my business boots on. Muhammad helped groom me and make me the business savvy woman I am today. He employed my son Antonio for the summer and taught him a great deal in such a short amount of time. He embraced us from the moment we met and introduced us to 'our' side of business and commerce. I am so thankful to Muhammad for taking the time to teach me and to reach out to my son. Although he is no longer with us I will forever and always be grateful for the day that I met.

Where is your Spot?
By Marion Jones
You are only put here for a season, don’t get mad or upset, God has his reasons.
Somebody will take your spot.
God is preparing you and everyone to take someone else’s place. You were not meant to live forever; you will come to the end of your race. You are going to lose your spot
Losing your spot is not a bad thing, when you are serving the lord. Believing, trusting him, and staying on one accord. Where is your spot?
There are two places where you can go, one place is Hell, and we know its Hot
Another place that is sweet and the streets are paved with gold. What a beautiful Spot.

So realize you will have a spot.
You will lose a spot, but you will get a better spot with our lord and master.

WHAT A SAD NEWS! I wish everyone at RDB a heartfelt condolence at the passing of a GOOD MAN.
I was planning an event that RBD had committed to being involved in. It would have taken place this month had all gone as promised. What impressed me as we discussed my plans, was Mohammed's commitment to the uplifting of the economic welfare of black race. He had plans and ideas that reflected a lifetime of commitment to the cause of advancing the economic aspirations of a downtrodden people. I am still intent on executing the event and I am now additionally inspired by the need to honor a man who fought the wars that needed fighting and did the things that needed doing for the sake of advancing black economic progress. You will be missed my brother. You are in heaven looking down on us and still advocating for your people even now. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

My heart and prayers go out to the family of brother Muhammad Nassardeen. Another one of our foot soldiers has been called home to be with the Father on October 11, 2007. We must understand that there is no death without life and death is nothing more than changing forms. We must understand that brother Muhammad may not be with us in our physical presence but his spirit lives on through his friends, family members, and his movement.
As we may know that there is no death without life, life is what this brother was all about and he wanted his people to "live life" to it's greatest potential. So in honor of brother Muhammad, I pledge to carry the torch. I pledge to live life and serve my people and the human family. I pledge to recycle my dollars for the advancement of the African American community. Who am I? I am nobody without the divine manifestation of God. So, I will continue to manifest God that is within and be of service to His people.
May God be with the family of brother Muhammad during these hard times. And may God continue to bless the movement that this brother was called to do.
Forever your servant, I Am

My heart is very heavy. When I got word of Muhammad's passing,it was the equivalent of getting hit by a car!
He invited me on his show on last Monday to announce the celebration of the 10th year of the African American Firefighter Museum. I left him and Kitty a ticket and gave him the "brother fist pound" and he returned with his genuine smile.
Muhammad has always been an advent supporter of the Black Firefighters and we have always supported RBD. When we opened the African American Firefighter Museum on December 13, 1997, Muhammad was our master of ceremonies for our dinner that same evening. I was looking forward to acknowledging him at our 10 year anniversary this past Saturday. Daniella Masterson who is an extension of RBD was our M.C and in the opening of our program , we opended with a moment of silence in memory of Muhammad. Muhammad and I were born on the same day 13 years apart.
He was like a big borther to me and right now I can hardly see the keyboard through my tears as I am writing this. Muhammad, we love you and we will never forget the way you impacted Los Angeles!

To Alicia Nassardeen & Family:
Please allow me to extend my deepest condolences during this time of great loss. May you all gain strength and comfort from each other during this trying time.
Please take comfort in knowing that God did not intend nor does God take delight in your pain, suffering or death. Hence, Muhammad is in a peaceful place - free from any further pain or suffering. For the bible says that when one dies he enters into a state free of thoughts or pain. (Ecclesiastes 9:5 says, "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all"). True peace. Eccl. 12:7 further states that "the spirit itself returns to the true God who gave it". Unfortunately, death entered into our lives because of sin passed on from our forefather Adam.
Yet there is hope for Muhammad! God offers a hope for all of Muhammad's family and friends to see him again through the provision of a resurrection by Jesus Christ. For John 5: 28, 29 s ays, "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus' voice and come out". Truly an awe-inspiring day for us to look forward to!!
May God Bless You All,
Reginald Benson

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Muhammad Nassardeen.
I met him in the early '90s and was very impressed with the work he was doing with RBD. He made such wonderful and positive impacts in the community. I assisted him with marketing materials and writing press releases for RBD.
The news of his sudden passing was very surprising since I recently saw him at an event in previous weeks.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones.
Have a fabulous day!

First, I want to express my sincere and deepest sympathy and condolences to Muhammad’s family, friends, associates and co-workers during this very difficult time. You’re in my prayers.
I honestly don't have adequate words to express my shock, sympathy and sorrow. I will always remember Muhammads'smile, his passion for RBD, our community, helping others achieve their goals and his passion for life!
I remember like it was yesterday the day he told me about his vision for this new organization he was going to call Recycling Black Dollars. He definitely made a positive impact in our community. Most of all I will remember that he just didn't talk about it....he did it!
God bless you Brothafriend. Rest in peace!

Muhammad symbolizes a man of all seasons for African Americans in this community and beyond. He made a difference by his actions and presence not just by his words. I appreciated his unwavering support of the Urban Issues Breakfast Forum and his comments/questions were always food for the mind.
Alone, Muhammad was a powerful force but with the continued dedication of his family, supporters, members and the outstanding RBD staff, his dream will continue to get better and live forever.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of my brother in the Lord, Muhammad Nassardeen. Whenever I had the opportunity to speak to him at church (Crenshaw Christian Center), he always greeted me enthusiastically, and, with a smile on his face.
The Los Angeles-area Black business community has lost a champion. Muhammad, through Recycling Black Dollars, has helped to spearhead the important concept of cooperative economics within our community. Although his passing will leave a void, and, we will miss him, his legacy will live on through RBD.
I look forward to seeing Muhammad again one day when we both stand in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God's continued blessings to his family.

Muhammad,
Great Motivational Speaker, Friend, Influential, Confidant and a true humanitarian on his diligence of keeping the African American community together. I remember when I first met Muhammad on the show "On the Positive Side". I could tell then how great of a person who is god filled he is.
I will truly miss him. He is the reason I joined Recycling Black Dollars and was a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement to do what your mind, body and spirit tells you to do. My prayers go out to the Nasardeen Family along with his friend and partner on the Positive Side Ms. Kitty Davis Walker. I am truly blessed to meet Mr. Nasardeen and I will truly
remember him for his dedication to his spirit, drive and determination. God Bless the Whole RBD Family in addition to the Nasardeen Family.
