RBD Communications/Recycling Black Dollars (RBD) is a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Corporation, founded in 1988 by Muhammad A. Nassardeen.
RBD’s mission is to aid in the economic building of the African American community by encouraging support of Black businesses. RBD teams with organizations, churches and corporations in an effort to improve vending diversity and contract opportunities for Black businesses. We work with lending institutions and other organizations to provide capital for the development and expansion of the Black business community. RBD is committed to providing ongoing workforce readiness training, entrepreneurial development and financial seminars for adults and youth in the urban community.
Membership services include: Assistance with business plans, marketing and promotional support, RBD Resource Guide, a monthly e-newsletter, internet advertising, mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs, accounting and bookkeeping services and a host of other support services.
